John Enright (President and Founder)
As President of Perferx Optical, John has enjoyed a long and successful career in the optical industry. He started in the industry in 1958 as a lab manager for American Optical. He stayed with AO until November of1974 when he decided to open his own laboratory with his wife Beverly. With only 7 employees, 4 of which were family, most of the business was in the local area of Pittsfield, Massachusetts. As business continued to grow, John decided to move into a larger facility and hire a sales representative to expand in areas beyond what was serviced locally. In 1999 Perferx Optical purchased Upstate Optical located in upstate NY. With the acquisition, Perferx obtained a Varilux lens distributorship and continued growth was inevitable. Since 2006 Perferx has been operating in a state-of-the-art facility and employs over 50 dedicated workers.
John has 52 years experience in the industry and attributes much of his success to the people he has been surrounded by, including his family. He has 5 children, 16 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. John is the President of a local country club in Dalton, MA and enjoys playing golf in his free time. His family, friends and employees are the center of his interests.
Larry Enright (General Manager / Sales Manager)
Larry has been in the optical Industry for over 14 years. He has recently served the OLA Ð Optical Laboratory Association as the President as well as served on their executive board for several years. Larry Served as President of Upstate Optical in Albany NY which was later merged with Perferx in their state of the art headquarters in Pittsfield, MA. He has a degree in CIS - Computer Information Systems from Western New England College.
Joe Yannone (Lab Production Manager)
Joe has been working in the optical industry for 32 years and has had his opticianÕs license for 23 years. He has an incredible amount of knowledge and is a key component in the day to day operations at Perferx. Joe oversees the quality control in surfacing, finishing and AR as well as managing work flow throughout the production area of the lab. He manages a well rounded team of employees dedicated to producing quality products with the highest attention to detail. Joe plays an important role in troubleshooting issues and is quick to pick up the phone to speak with customers. When Joe isn't working he enjoys fishing, golfing and spending time with his wife Becky and their three kids.
Becky Yannone (Customer Service Manager)
Becky has been working at Perferx Optical for 33 years. She began her career learning how to use a lensometor and quickly moved into a customer service role. Today, she works as the customer service manager and brings a high level of expertise to the business. She is extremely passionate about her position and helping Perferx achieve continued success. In her free time, Becky enjoys cooking and baking, gardening and spending time with her family.
Claudine Morrison (Customer Service)
Claudine has been a loyal and valuable employee of Perferx since 1993. She has gained a tremendous amount of experience through the years and handles many responsibilities. She has over 18 years of customer service experience and serves as a key asset of the Perferx team. In her free time, Claudine enjoys reading and spending time with her family.
Becca Casey (Customer Service)
Becca has been working at Perferx Optical for 10 years. In all of her years at Perferx, Becca has worked in the customer service department. She brings a high level of industry knowledge and experience to Perferx and is a great asset to our team. In her free time, Becca enjoys outdoor activities such as gardening, hiking and fishing. Good weather is always a plus!
Linda O'Brian (Customer Service)
For three years, Linda has been working in customer service at Perferx Optical. In a short period of time, Linda quickly proved how valuable she is to the team. She is very passionate about her job and enjoys speaking with customers on a day to day basis. In her free time, Linda enjoys reading, traveling, concerts, gardening and dining out. She also loves spending time with her two granddaughters.
Alicia Giroux (Customer Service)
Alicia has been working at Perferx Optical since 2007. She started in the mailroom and for the last two years has been working in customer service. Customer service comes natural to Alicia because of her great personality. Previous to Perferx, Alicia spent 9 years in customer service and really understands the importance of keeping customers happy. When she is not working, you can find Alicia snowboarding, camping, fishing and cheering on the Boston Red Sox.
Melissa Foster (Customer Service)
Melissa has been working at Perferx Optical for 6 years and has spent all of her time in customer service. Melissa enjoys interacting with customers and truly cares about satisfying their needs. Outside of work, Melissa likes to work in the garden and cook. She loves spending time with her family and friends as well as her pets.
Coleen (Inventory and Logistics Manager)
Coleen has been working at Perferx for many years and is very knowledgeable in multiple areas of optical. She currently manages the inventory and delivery schedule. Coleen is married with 5 children and has one grandchild. She enjoys spending a lot of time with her family both inside and outside of work. She enjoys cooking, traveling and planning parties and events.
Tracie Bennett (Business Development Manager)
Tracie brings 12 years of marketing and sales experience to Perferx and for 8 years has been working as a sales consultant. Her territory consists of Western Massachusetts (Berkshire County) and Upstate New York. TracieÕs interests include cooking, gardening, traveling and spending time with her family.
Matt Yvon (Business Development Manager)
Matt has been working as a sales consultant in the optical industry for over 4 years. He began his career at Hoya Vision Care and has been working for Perferx for 3 years. His territory includes the Greater Springfield area, the Greater Worcester area and the state of Connecticut. In his free time, Matt enjoys golfing, snowboarding, traveling and spending time with his family.
Chuck LaFlamme (Business Development Manager)
Chuck has been surrounded by the optical business much of his life. Both his Grandfather and Father were both optometrists practicing in the New Hampshire area with his two sisters working as opticians. Chuck began his optical career working as a sales rep for Viva in his first two years. He spent the last five years working as a sales consultant for New Hampshire Optical and is currently managing the New Hampshire, Maine and Vermont territory for Perferx. In his free time, Chuck enjoys riding his horses and spending time with his two children.
Deborah Ullrich (Business Development Manager)
Deborah is the newest addition to the Perferx sales team. She has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Syracuse University and is a New York State licensed Optician. She has been a Region 3 Director since 2004 and served as chapter secretary and vice-president before that. Her work history has been varied, starting out in the optical industry in a finish lab and then in optometric retail offices for many years. Her sales experience started in 1996 with Marchon Eyewear and she moved into the wholesale lab business in 2004 with Sunburst Optics. Deborah manages the upstate New York territory.
